Tattered Edges

by Felicia Ferguson

It's been three weeks.  Three weeks and they <still> haven't spoken to each other!  Well, at least not about anything non-work-related, and even then, it's a quick, "Here's the file you wanted," or an "I'm done with the law book Bud said you were looking for."

What in the world is going on?

You know, at one time, there was a secret pool around JAG about when those two would ignore the rules and get together.  I think the pot was up to almost $300.  But now, I think most of the contributors have pulled their money.

I don't know what happened between them, but it was big.  And I missed it because of some <stupid> petty officer who'd gotten a little too drunk and locked himself in one of the storage closets on the MIRABLE.  You should have seen the captain's face when Mattoni found him.

We'd been walking along the mid-deck on our way to interview yet another group of officers who knew the petty officer when, all of a sudden, we hear this banging noise coming from behind a door.  Alan gets our escort to unlock the door and out falls the petty officer, weak from lack of food and water, but very much alive.

And I missed what <has> to be the biggest story at JAG—well at least the <latest> big story.

I wonder if I can get Mac to go out with me tonight?  You know, sort of a “girls on the town” type thing.  Maybe if she loosens up a little she’ll tell me what’s going on.  Goodness knows she needs it.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen her so uptight.  And it’s not necessarily a <bad> thing, but everyone knows what all work and no play gets you…and it’s not a hot guy!
